After the Church Reborn conference hosted by Community Church of Joy in Phoenix, my friend Nate Ashley flew back with me. Nate used to be the drummer in my band before he moved. He’s here for the week to record some new Fatbox Ransom tunes. What is Fatbox Ransom? It’s the worst name for a band in history. Right up there with Moon Death Squad.
So things may be quiet here until next week. Interestingly, Nate has been doing some reading on the emerging church. He’s just finished Missing The Point by Tony Campolo and Brian McClaren. Turns out, up until these last few months Nate thought the emerging church was just about worship. He’s sparked conversations that I’ve put on the backburner. I can see he’s going to be more and more dangerous as time goes by.
